Scientist have discovered that heating the deep dermis to 50 - 65 degrees Celsius will cause the skin to shrink - ThermiAesthetics is the first company to develop an accurate and predictable way to deliver this energy to the deepest layer of the skin without causing surface burns.
Traditional light based treatments like lasers and IPL's don't penetrate deep enough into the tissues to impact the desired skin tightening without damaging the skin surface. ThermiTight® accomplishes this skin tightening via a tiny probe, thinner than a ballpoint refill, which is inserted through a little stab wound, to target the deepest layers of the skin without damaging the surface - moving the probe around in an organized pattern until the internal temperature averages 50 - 65 degrees Celsius, and at the same time, keeping the external skin below 42 degrees Celsius to avoid external burns
Significant skin shrinkage occurs over a four month period following the treatment. Excellent skin tone will accentuate the improvement - this treatment will not help someone with very poor tone and a very significant skin excess. This treatment can be done in conjunction with a liposuction if an excess of fat is present, or as a solo procedure in the office if excess fat is not an issue.

ThermiTight is performed in the office setting. After a small volume of anesthetic solution is injected into the area to be treated, the tiny ThermiRF™ SmartTip™ thermistor probe is inserted under the skin.
The surgeon applies gentle movements to heat up the tissues to the desired level. Thermal Image Guidance™ provides the physician with real time external temperatures to ensure precision of the heating effect while maintaining safe skin temperatures. Most procedures last less than two hours. After the procedure, a gentle wrap is applied and the patient may resume normal activities the next day.

This procedure applies radio frequency energy to selected nerves. In a recent study, the effect lasted more than one year in almost 80% of the subjects, thus validating the opportunity for a long term alternative to neurotoxins, such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin.
With ThermiRase™, a series of thermal lesions are created along the nerve pathways which control the muscles that cause frown lines. The effect is immediate.
First, the physician will map the nerves using an external nerve stimulator. This will help him to know where to create the lesions during the procedure.
Next, the physician will insert the ThermiRF SmartTipTM probe under the skin and begin to create lesions along the mapped nerve pathway.
Lesioning is done in three steps:
This process is repeated several times until the patient is unable to make a frown.

This condition affects 2.8% of Americans, some 7.8 million people, and half of these suffer from axillary hyperhidrosis. Botox® will help dry up these hyperactive sweat glands but very large quantities (100 units per side), high cost, painful and frequent injections are required to control this condition with Botox®. The ThermiDry® radiofrequency treatment can treat this condition equally effectively by heating the subdermal glands and knocking out their function during a two hour, minimally invasive procedure.
ThermiSmooth™ is performed using a specially designed thermistor regulated hand piece. ThermiSmooth delivers precise heating to the skin's surface. Treatments are gentle and patients often say it feels like receiving a warm massage.
Clinical studies show that the collagen in skin will shrink when heated to a sustained temperature of at least 42°C. Further, it has been shown that when the skin is heated to this level, an inflammatory process is engaged which can stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen over a period of time. Therefore, the challenge is to deliver precise amounts of heat, without risking overheating the tissues and causing patient discomfort.

After applying a small amount of gel, the ThermiSmooth™ hand piece is applied to the skin's surface. The ThermiRF™ system is set to a specific target temperature. The hand piece is gently moved in a sweeping or circular fashion while gradually heating up the skin surface. As the skin's temperature rises to the targeted temperature, the ThermiRF computer automatically adjusts the energy output to ensure precision of heating. A small zone is treated for about 5-7 minutes to achieve the goal of sustained heating to the target tissues. Treatments are repeated several times to achieve the desired cosmetic result.
